by Fred Van Riet
Fred, his wife Sarah and their 2 kids (and various pets) have lived in Madison since 2007. Fred grew up in the Chicago area, graduated with a degree in Marketing from UW Madison School of Business and spent many years working in the construction distribution industry.
Over the last 15 years Fred has been renting cabins in the northwoods for both family vacations and fishing trips, chasing walleyes and muskies along the way. After years of dreaming and planning, the perfect opportunity finally surfaced to start a new venture.
When Fred is not out on the water, you can find him playing guitar, woodworking, building custom musky baits, golfing with his kids or hanging with the family and dogs at home. Fred has been active in Madison area youth soccer and has served on the Regent SC Board of Directors since 2016.
Fred is a passionate angler, willing to spend endless hours hunting fish on a lake. What his wife would say is a problem, he describes as “a lifestyle.”
